LinkedIn is constantly changing it’s configurations and what is required for an “All Star” LinkedIn rating that creates results. I make it my business to stay current on those configurations. The following is absolutely essential:
- Professional Title & Professional Summary
- A headshot/photo of yourself
- Employment History (Accomplishment based is most preferable)
- Identified Skills (Keywords)
- Education (Whether it is college, training, on-the-job, etc.)
If you are a DIY kind of person, this is a great video with lots of tips!
Note from Heather: The only thing I absolutely disagree with is mirroring your resume. If your resume is done correctly, it will be completely aligned with the LinkedIn profile.
